    Another Iphone problem.

Having been given an Iphone 4 I went through all the settings and changed all details to mine. However when I try to send e-mails it asks for my password, which won't work because it brings up that my daughter's details are still there. If I can't find them how do I remove them and enter mine? Jim

My work Iphone4 has the charming habit of turning on the screen when making a call, then doing random things like holding the call, dialling someone else, or just registering the number of my ear.

Apparently the proximity sensor is faulty and this is common. Not fixed by ios6. No it doesn't have a screen cover.

You could do a phone "reset all settings" to start from a clean slate.

2nd the proper reset because it appears this were never done. First, you need your own Apple account. If multiple people use the computer on which iTunes has been installed, and from where you are doing the reset, then you'll need to be logged on in your name. Second, you then connect the phone (by cable this time) to the computer and if iTunes doesn't open then open it. Third - choose reset then reset as new phone.

This will really establish the iPhone as being truly yours and avoid a whole host of other identity issues further down the track. You'll then set up your own email and download apps of your own choosing.

Thanks all. I had just edited the info. A full reset fixed the problem. Jim
