I have a CANON iP4500 printer, a few years old now but more than sufficient for what I use it for.
Recently however, it has been whinging about its Ink Absorber being a problem..and having to press a RESUME button to make it print.
Now it has decided to take strike action and now declares the Ink Absorber as beingfull....and to contact the Service Dept.
I had it apart the first time, and can't see or feel any sensor probes going into the pad (It soaks up the ink from a Head Clean) so I reckon it must be based on some 'count' cleaning cycles or number of start-ups or... a need for CANON to sell me a new one.
Anyone know of a simple way to reset this function?
I suspect a new printer or two is on the way... pity, as I've got the RIHAC external ink tank system on it... Saves a fortune.
Saw a cheap laser in Dick Smiths, under $50. - Would be ok for the mono stuff I do, like bits of the RAVE manual.
