Thread: Canon Laser Printer LBP 6000

Hello Computers and IT people,

Just wondering if anyone has bought an ink cartridge for a laser printer off some of the suppliers of eBay?

I was going to take my empty cartridge in to the local mob who do refills however the price of a similar full cartridge on eBay, even including postage, is so much more affordable. Is this for a reason such as the eBay stuff is of poorer quality?

A couple of days ago my printer stopped working. It decided it did not want to pick up paper anymore. Before this it decided to turn itself off after it only picked up and printed one page. I had to turn the power off and wait for about 5 minutes and it would work ... for one page. Then its last trick was to leave the paper delivery slot in the up position and would not make any start up noises all.

Today I started to think about getting a new Laser printer and I found the LBP 6000 must have been superseded and I can get a new one of them on eBay quite economically - including delivery.

Anyway, I decided to give my printer one more try - while I had a replacement cued up on the computer with my mouse hovering over the eBay "Buy It Now" button. I uncovered my printer and loaded it up with paper and pressed print. The paper feeder dropped down and it printed the page off perfectly. Maybe I should have threatened it with replacement a couple of days ago when it was playing funny games with me - no I was not amused at all .

I bit the bullet and I ordered the replacement cartridges. They arrived promptly and the packaging is very professional. The print quality is coming out very good too. The mob seem to be very good about their business.
