    Itunes stuffed Ipad

I needed to shift some photos from my pc to my Ipad so I installed Itunes on the pc. After the installation I connected my Ipad and it said that an upgrade for the Ipad's program was available and to install it. I let it do its job which took around 20 minutes then it said the Ipad had been upgraded. Now the Ipad won't work. There is the apple symbol on the screen and below it is a narrow box like what shows up if installing something. Nothing is happening and I cannot turn the Ipad off. What has happened? I hate Mac stuff but it is good if you can figure it out. Jim

Leave it alone, plugged in for a good while, maybe an hour or more.

The other thing you can do is a forced shut down of the Ipad.. Hold the control and the off button together for a period of time... Same as you do when you take a screen shot but keep them depressed... Might work. Mine locks up every so often when it says it needs backing up!!!! Backing up to what??? Still, its far quicker than a laptop and windows!!! Never again!

Thanks Sitec. This approach worked and Ipad is now functional again. Jim
