apple - start up disc nearly full
i keep getting this message....but what does it mean?
i moved a heap of photos off the hard drive but i stil get the message.....
how do i check how much capacity is left on my hard drive?
its a mini mac...... its been basically trouble free for the last four years

How many is a Heap?
To see storage...
Click the apple (top left)
Click 'about this mac'
When box appears click "more info"
A new box appears.... " About this mac "
In the top row click storage.

it says i have zero out of 119GB
i am now getting message that i cannot send item to trash......yes the trash is empty

weeds, unfortunately when you send stuff to trash, it still stays on the disk until you empty the trash. Anything you want to keep move to another drive or CD/DVD. Then Hard delete them from the hard drive - in windows select the file/s anh hold down shift when you select delete. Not sure if that is the sequence on the Mac
