That was one of the reasons why I changed over to Chrome.
I still have Firefox but hardly use it.If I need a site that I know is bookmarked on Firefox, then I'll try.If it dont compute I copy it to Chrome.
cheers
Like many people I use firefox and have my regular sites book marked - some for many years and I have no problems using them.
However everynow and then Firefox seems to take a dislike to a site and will not open it even though I may have been using it for years - usually saying the site is taking too long to open.
However if I open IE or Chrome the site opens straight away.
This problem with Firefox has happened a few times and the only way I have found to get it to open the sites is to uninstal Firefox and do a fresh install which is a pain.
Edit - if you search the site via google in firefox it will open it but not from the book marks.
Why does Firefox do this and is there an easy fix.
Thanks
Garry

Thanks - Firefox used to be great but the computer nerds got stuck into it. They need an old fart like myself on the clearance team for updates to provide a reality check.

I must say firefox still works fine for me, sometimes it doesn't load a page but I find if I hold down the left mouse button for one second it works better. Not sure if its the mouse or firefox doing that.
Used it on a Mac since it first came out, never had a problem with it...do however have the same problem using Safari on an Ipad. Go figure.
