    Skype and Mac book.

    Hi all, my wife is overseas atm and has the use of a Macbook. She can call me on Skype but I cannot hear her. She can hear me fine. We can't seem to activate the inbuilt microphone on the Macbook. We are not familiar with Apple gear so I would appreciate any advice on what we can do to get the Macbook microphone to work properly.     Hi 130man,

    If you open Skype, click on Skype - preferences, then audio/video you should have a window with microphone. Tick the automatically adjust microphone settings - it should work?

    If this doesn't work open launchpad, system preferences, sound, then adjust internal microphone output volume (it may be in mute). Hope this works for you. I know we had some hassles setting up skype, but all good now.

    Also make sure you don't have FaceTime running at the same time as it may cause conflicts.
