Hi Guys,
I have a two year old Dell Inspiron 15r N5110 laptop running Windows 7 that has become very slow to start. When I ran a diagnostic it came up with a error number 2000-0221 which is an "interval timer error" - something to do with the BIOS.
From the research I have done, it seems to point to a physical error with the BIOS chip on the Motherboard (something reasonably common with Dell??) Does anyone one else have any experience with this error?
I have tried all of the resetting to default and also re-flashing the BIOS with no change.
Question is, is it viable to repair this or would I just be better off replacing the whole machine. I have no idea what is involved in swapping a motherboard in a laptop?? Is it do-able outside of a computer lab?
Once it is up and going, it works fine apart from the animation of the windows slowing down when closing programs..
Thanks in advance
