    From what i've heard they usually need the whole shebang , better get that case.

    Yes but they are HK spec phones, ie not the same as we get here.
    And i didnt want/ couldnt afford to buy 2 handsets outright, plus i get a better deal thru my isp with free car kit/ cradle and case along with 4 months free handset payments (saving $60) each .

    From what I have seen the SIII seem to suffer from built in obsolescence, usually a week after the plan expires

    Without looking it up it some markets get different processors and amounts of memory.
