Vista laptop upgrade to Win 8

    can I just upgrade it?
or do I have to do a clean install?
Will I be able to keep settings and documents?
will the laptop "find any wi-fi" still work?

So good you can get DOS emulation for OSX, iOS, android, windows, blackberry, linux and probably other stuff as well. Must be a demand for it, surely. How else do people keep their Windows 3.1 running?

Before you jump onto Win8, make sure the laptop you're upgrading has Win8 support from the maker. Otherwise, you will have Win8 and not many drivers available.

There are some things to consider -

*If you have 32bit Windows Vista you have to buy the actual disc if you want to upgrade to 64bit Windows 8 else you need to do a clean install.

    * If you have 32bit and happy with 32bit Win 8 - you can just use the digital without a clean install.

    * If you have 64bit windows vista you can just use the digital upgrade to get 64bit Windows 8 without a clean install.

Also depends on what versions you want - pro vs home etc... Also be mindful that not all you software may be windows 8 compliant (also windows 8.1 now out with is a free update from 8).

Wifi should work but you may have to re-enter passwords.
    Hope that helps
