    DVD/VCR----U/S

My DVD/VCR player packed up.Is it possible to play the DVD on the computer and watch it on the tv? If so ,how do I connect the two ? The pictures show the back of the comp. and the tv. Thank you .W.

Yes is the answer. You need to connect the monitor cable to the "VGA in" port on the back of the TV, and the cable that is connected to the little round green port on the back of the computer needs to be connected to the "VGA audio in" jack on the back of the TV.

You just need a long VGA cable and connect to the vga socket on back of telly to the vga (monitor) socket on the PC, if your pc had a newer video card it may have a HDMI ouptut that you could use for connection.

these days you can even play a movie from a USB stick, depends if your TV supports USB.
I often watch a movie on USB, so much easier than having cables etc
