    USB Keyboard/Mouse Issue

I turned our main computer off as normal last night & this a.m. the "Light of My Life" turned it on as per the last 3 years except the wireless mouse was not working. Did a restart & the keyboard went out in sympathy. They're a Logitech item using a sensor on a 500mm USB cable.
I plugged the wireless mouse with the little USB stick sensor ( also Logitech) from my laptop into it & no problem. I then tried the problem devices on my laptop & I'm using them to type this from the laptop with both working fine. Hook them back to the main 'puter & a big fail.
It's probably simple but so am I when it comes to this sort of thing.
    Cheers

When you plug the usb part back into your computer what lights come on on it? Also try another USB port, not the one above or below it (next to it on the long edge of the port)

Did you (un)install/upgrade anything prior to turning the computer off? As you've gone through a re-boot essentially it is possible something that happened earlier only took effect after starting it up again.

If you still have the logitec disk that came with the keyboard and mouse I would try and re-install the software and drivers from disk.
