Recommendations for Windows on new MacBook Pro please

    Hi guys,
I'm getting a MacBook Pro for study, this means I am upgrading my 2007 vintage Toshiba.

I want to also use the Mac for my Hema and oziexplorer.

What would everyone/anyone recommend to use. I have tried to search but can't seem to find exactly what I need, so if you can direct me to an applicable thread I thank you in advance.

    Cheers, Adam.

    Google is your friend.

Type this Windows on Macbook Pro into Google, I got almost 90 million answers in less than 1 second, including many links to Apple itself.

Better yet, sell that shiny over priced bit of junk from Apple and get a cheaper better real Windows laptop from Toshiba or similar.

You can partition the hard drive.

Doing this means that you will have a portion (you choose the size) of the hard drive set aside to solely to run windows on. This method is not using a "windows for Mac" program, but instead is using the same windows program you would install on a PC.

I like this method because it keeps everything separate and just works.

I did it recently and was helped every step of the way by apple tech support on the phone.

Thank you for your experience. I will check out VMware fusion.
Do any of you use OziExplorer on VMware without Windows?
I found out today with my own research I will likely also have to use windows to support OziExplorer. Just more.... $$$

When you use VMware fusion you need to install windows as a virtual machine under VMware, ie you still need a copy of windows to run OziExplorer.

Don't you have a copy of Windows already on the laptop you are about to decommission? Any chance of re-using that version?
