    Is it possible to install and run XP/WIN 7 games on Win8?

    In most cases yes. Sometimes there might be a need to patch the games to the latest version.

    You may also need to set "compatibility mode" for the game, in the settings.

    I have a disc loaded in games and it won't recognise the disc so I can't download anything.

    If you're trying to install the game and you would normally select "setup.exe" or "install.exe" - then don't!

    Right mouse button-click on the program you were going to run and then select "Properties" and *then* you select "Compatability mode" and select Windows XP or whatever.
