    Safari

    How do you clear your last safari search? If I close my iPad down and reopen safari my last search reloads if I want it to or not so how do I clear my search engine? Jim

    what version of Safari are you using?, if you have updated to Safari 6 there will be no separate Search engine bar anymore and unless you have a backup of your previous safari you cannot put it back

    If you click and hold on the magnifying glass icon to the left of what is now the single Google search bar.
    This click and hold opens a roll-down menu, and near the bottom is the CLEAR RECENT SEARCHES option.

    It seems that ios8 leaves all your search tabs open when you leave safari. Next time you open safari they are still there. Thanks for help. Jim

    I tap on the two boxes in the top right hand corner next to the plus signand then tap on all the open tabs to close them. Once they are all closed tap on Done. So when you open safari again it comes up with nothing in the search/address bar and icons in the page.
