Major part of the heart and soul of AULRO.comThe iPad is now so slow as to be almost unusable.
When using the keyboard to respond to posts, I can easily out type the keyboard buffer - and I'm a slow typist.
After a few keystrokes, nothing appears in the text box for quite some time. Key presses are being registered because the keys grey out as they are pressed. I have to wait for the buffer to dump to screen to check what I've typed.
Scrolling up or down is painfully slow, pressing a button, e.g., to close a tab, seems to take an eternity for a response.
I now have to find a copy of iOS 7 to revert.

I haven't noticed any difference on my iPad between 7 and 8 but a workmate with a much older iPad (3 years) has had heaps of issues similar to how you describe. I can touch type on mine quite respectably without any major dramas. I'm sure apple won't admit to it stuffing up older devices though. How old is your iPad?

There is an update to i0 8
I read there were problems with i0 8 and they released i0 8-1.
Hope that fixes your problem.
