Must be my inner masochist trying to get out but I thought I'd have a go at setting up an XBMC box. I've got hold of an old Eeebox B202 (XP Home) that was lying around at work but the video doesn't work.

It used to run our demo screen but has been sitting in a box for 2 years gathering dust. When I first powered it up it wouldn't boot but some research on the net showed me how to disconnect the battery to reset the BIOS; so now it boots but there's no video. HDD LED blinks away merrily so its alive.

Is there anyway to remote desktop into it?

Obviously I don't know its IP address and I've tried plugging it into my home network but it doesn't show up as an attached device.

The B202 has DVI out only, an Ethernet port and a wireless antenna.

Maybe I should bin it and buy a g-box (mini-ITX?) or some such.
