make sure there is no windows.old directy on c drive
rename it to windows.pts if it exists

Found out my work is trialling Windows 10, but won't introduce it until they're satisfied it won't crash the system or do something bad. They seem pretty happy with Chrome.
My windows 10 seems to be working well.
One "feature" that has caused me a bit of grief is that there does not appear to be a share files option. It seems to be replaced by the workgroup feature.
My wifes computer is still on Win 7 and when you try to send an email with attachments from the workgroup share option ( photos) , it immediately tries to send them to the skydrive which isn't connected and they sit in the Outbox. This is using Windows Live Mail.
We finally got them to go after deleting the contents of the outbox, then copying the photos into her photo directory then attaching them as usual.
I may have caused the problem by sharing with "view only" rather than "view and edit" .anyway will try alternatives sometime.

I'm glad its free though,
nothing much has changed on the surface,
It starts straight up into the desktop like my 8 did,, all my shortcuts and bookmarks survived.
charms have gone,,
needed a Win10 Nvidea driver,, thats about it.
Watch for the dreaded 'Something Happened' error dialog with the super helpful 'Something Happened' explanation...
If you get it you can fix it by changing your regional settings to English (US) and trying again! [tonguewink]
One thing I hate straight out of the box is--
when you scroll down through a list of files and stop to read/whatever the screen snaps back to top of page:censored:
Pedro!!???? why you have installed the bloody thing when you know that first releases are full of craps.
Uninstall it and go back to the old system. ;)
