    SSD Hybrid hard drive reliability

I'm wondering how reliable they are. I installed one a few months back as my C: (boot) drive.

Now my computer can't reliably see it so I get boot failure.

Oh well, back to add to the hours of frustration working on the PC.

Been using one for years as my C: drive. Intel SSD 520, never had any issues.

Must be your ability to buy faulty goods or something.

    I don't have another desktop.

When the system can see it, it can't find bootmgr.

When I try system repair, it can't find Windows.

    I don't have any friends.

I'll build up another desktop as I have a few motherboards and another case.

Yes, I'd assumed that after a few reboots.

Yes, that's what I did. It would be there sometimes, not others. I've changed the SATA cable, swapped the power connector from another drive, disconnected all other drives just in case the power supply is dying and can't handle the power requirements.

    Zackly!

I had been doing a weekly full backup with daily incrementals but the backup software stopped for some reason and I hadn't got it working again.

Most of my pix are on two other drives but there are docs on this one.
