Windows 10 keeps the old WIN 7 files in a Windows old folder.

There is an option in settings to revert to Win7.

AFAIR this will last for one month after downloading Win 10.

I actually have done this with one of my computers and it works.

It helps if you backup your files before installing WIN 10.
    So you don't need Easus.

I read the other thread last night. I think that Ill wait with Win8 for a while before changing.

    If it aint broke...

Same with my other computer that has Vista of all things. Still runs, doesn't crash, so I'm not changing it.
    Cheers

Our son tried Windows 10 hes gone back to Windows 10 - he hated it.

Our daughter has Windows 10 on her new computer and reckons its fine. I'm still running Windows 7. I'll upgrade when I upgrade my laptop when it stops working.

Agreed! This free upgrade thing just stinks too high heaven. Whilst I've been an advocate of all things Linux, I must admit that Win7 is one of their better operating systems, and although I do still keep a PC with win7 on it, the sudden, almost desperate passion and 'need', in which I'm almost being forced to upgrade to W10, (for no real reason) just triggers many stinky rats. Especially now it seems that keystroke storage is involved. And no doubt many other things which have not become obvious yet.....

I did the "upgrade" to 10 and since its been glitchy and slow slow slow at start up. I also had to spend quite a time hammering it into submission - to get it to behave how it did in 8.1. Not entirely sure why I bothered - but felt the need to try and keep up with events.
    cheers,

i made the jump, seems slow and i have now lost the tool bar, anyone know an easy to fix to get it back. i can open things with the icons but now can not shut down the computer, (its a lap top).
I did look it up on google but the fixes might as well have been in chinese and it looks like you can lose stuff.

You shut down by clicking on the little flag in the LH corner. when the menu comes up , you go to "power" and choose from sleep, shut down, or restart.
I have ungraded 3 laptops and they are all the same.

Which tool bar are you missing? Do you mean the "task bar" or a tool bar in IE11 or in Edge?
