    iTunes/new phone

I have to back up my iPhone and then upload to the new iPhone. Should be easy.
Do my old phone first,,, which has to be upgraded before it will "back" it up. Cool, job done.
So, when I plug in the new phone, the comp tells me I have to "upgrade" iTunes.
So, start the process,,, all to no avail

All the info I can find is telling me to delete everything to do with iTunes, and then start a new download of the program.
I have tried this about 6 times now, and it just wont work.

Anyone got any ideas? I'm so over this now.

    G'day Marcus,

I'd start by making sure you have the latest itunes.

Download it here: iTunes - Download iTunes Now - Apple (AU)

Once you have that installed, follow this instruction:

    https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT203977

Personally I always copy all the photos off a phone first too. (Good chance to tidy up anyway.

That should see you right... yell out if it gets ugly.

Thanks Mark, I'll have a go a bit later when I've deleted the other stuff first.
Yes, I want it all copied first. They tried that down at Apple with Leeanne's last phone, and managed to lose the lot. She was less than inpressed to put it mildly.

Photos are the most common things people loose. so make sure you got them before wiping the old one.

That'll be like the seventh, maybe eighth time I've done it now. I think I'll take it down to Apple to get them to deal with it. I can't even get onto iCloud now.

    Thanks for your help Mark

I have found that with my itunes , it has been sending me a meesage that I must now join/sign up to the itunes store whenever I try to find album artwork. Until last weekend this never happened . The actual finding of artwork was a hit and miss affair as some would be found others not and sometimes something from way out of the field. Is this something new or have I hit something I shouldn't have ? The mainreason for downloading all my music to itunes is to have a complete back up of my library cd's and converted vinyl so the artwork isnt needed but nice if it does come up. Thanks
