I have not ran windows 10 so dont know exactly what the .exe is but something like recovery.exe i imagine.
When you know what it is type it in there and you can execute that way.
Or just go through your C drive and locate the .exe manually and run it.

type settings,

does windows 10 do a restore point when it finishes?
Ben, no the search feature doesn't work along with microsoft edge, trying to work how my Thread got into Lots a Landies thread.
Would it have anything to do with my anti-virus program, Kapersky, as I was having problems with it as well, Regards Frank.
Hi Frank. Kaspersky now has a special Win 10 upgrade.
I had to have that installed before I could even use Kaspersky. Apparently takes about 30 mins and I had it done at my local IT shop. But of course, your problem is you can't get started.
Just to make you feel really bad, virtually all of my 12 months ongoing problems after buying a new lenovo (IBM name badging?) disappeared when I went to 10 from 7.
Cheers Gavin
