    You have to change your SATA mode to AHCI

    You should be running AHCI mode in the BIOS. You'll have to go through a procedure to change it now... if you flip from IDE to AHCI without the procedure, you'll be greeted with a BSOD.

    After that it'll say 'msahci' rather than 'pciide' - at that point you can install Intel RST drivers. (Grab them from Intel's website - Google! )

    though there is no msachi in the win10 reg
    the real trick will be getting to the bios in Win10

    Solved Attn. SSD owners - Enabling AHCI mode AFTER Windows 10 installation. - Windows 10 Forums
    but entering the bios with only a keystroke is a concern

    The link above works.
    easiest way into the win10 bios,,
    hold the shift key down while power shutdown takes place, then normal bios entry is achievable.
