    Losing emails

    Hope some one can help, since updating my apple phone and iPad to Ios9 my emails that I have read and kept are vanishing, being replaced with
    " this message has not been downloaded from the server"
    I've lost some really important emails...help please ....Gary

    Hi Mate,

    Go into Settings
    Mail, Calendar, Contacts
    Select your email account
    Change "Mail to Sync" - I think that the default is "1 Week".
    Change this to "No Limit".

    Thanks for replying, neither of my devices have the " mail to sync" option
    I've always had delete from server set to never and deleted messages to never ...its only started since I did the last upgrade...

    My iPad doesn't have the setting either,mine is Ios9,but haven't lost any emails yet.

    Have had other issues though.I got on to Apple live chat,they were very good at sorting things out.

    Don't know their number,Just google it and you will find it.I found it on google.

    Thanks for all the help, Apple help centre have been great, I've had to change from POP TO IMAP for emails and that should fix the problem ...fingers crossed. Apple know about the issue and are trying to sort out the glitch...Gary
