    Moving C drive

Please bear with me, this is a question further to my MB1 error and split partition posts,,

If it is such a drama to merge two split partitions,,,,

can I clone just my C partition to a 2nd drive, USE that drive to reformat my SSD then shuffle the data back.

The trick will be to make the 2nd drive bootable?

Ive done that before when building from cds but I havent tried it with a recovery partition.

the C: should be just as simple as doing a full backup to another drive, format your original drive however you want (a 64BG usb stick if you can boot from a USB drive is a good option to make your temporary system disk on so you can mess around with your main drives but disable virtual memory) then restore the backup to your newly formatted and partitioned drive.
