    Video editing software

I have saved the Blackvue micro SD card I was using in Exmouth and want to try making a video with music to remember the trip by, which I have never done.
I have a new win10 laptop that may/maynot have a suitable program(wouldn't know what to look for),it does have a decent graphics card which they tell me is needed for making video.
    Any suggestions???

Just to get you started, use M$s Movie Maker .. as you already have it installed(unless you did an advanced install of Win10 and opted it out)
On your All Programs list, it's under the M section.
Another way to open the specific movie file would be to right click the relevant movie files(eg. if it's a .mov, or mp4 or whatever) and in the list of things you can select from is the 'Open With' selection. Choose Movie Maker and it will open the file and have it already placed in the time line.

it shouldn't take you more an a couple of minutes of fiddling to work out how to use it(Movie Maker that is).

it's very simple, easy and extremely basic, but will do many of the things you want it too, such as add audio overlays and cut/edit/make transitions and stuff like that.

note that if you have audio in the actual movie file and want to remove it from the video, so that it doesn't interfere with the audio you add, it's not as intuitive as a better quality video editing program, that will separate the video's audio and video into two separate streams.
What you need to do is look up in the top left corner for the video audio icon and play with that.
Like I said, it's very basic, but can do the basic stuff most folks want to do.

    Alternatively:
Check out VirtualDub( it's free) for more complex features, and if you want more complex audio editing, try Audacity too

    hope that helps.

What is the story with copyrite???? Eg using say a Pink Floyd song for the audio and publishing it on You Tube etc????
Aaron40 tells me the audio may get blanked??? He suggests Purple Planet for free audio downloads.
