    Freeze, don't move!

My computer always appears to run slower during school holidays. Is that possible, or is it my imagination?
I also live more or less under the Bne./Syd./Mel . flight path, about 65 km from Bne. airport, and the area is used as a training ground for small planes. A lot of times when a plane flies over, big or small, my computer freezes, from a few seconds up to a minute or more. Is that normal? I'm connected via phone cable. The exchange is about 7.5km from my place.

When I was on landline/ADSL, school holidays were a pig of a time...had to give up on internet at times...since going to wireless, never had a problem.

I take it you mean the internet is slower? If so I wouldn't be surprised, despite what our telcos and government claim, our bandwidth sucks and kids use it without thought.

Planes flying over, however, is a different issue and I'd have a look to see what is going on. Are you using any wireless technologies?

Yes, I do mean the internet. I'm not using any wireless equipment at all. I've asked a few people about interference from planes and they all said that its impossible. I must agree, if planes would affect the signal then everybody would be affected. And yet....
    Thank you for your replies.
