My SD card just went through the wash

The phone didn't do too well when it was agitated and went for a spin. Do you think my SD card would have survived? Maybe all the viruses have been washed away?
    Any advice?

You should be all sweet. Submerge it in uncooked rice for 24 hours to be certain all the moisture is drawn out.
Flash memory is incredibly hardy, mostly due to the lack of moving parts.

Haven't tried this with a SD card, but I have had a couple of USB drives survive laundry unscathed.

I don't think water and soap washes away viruses .. just bacteria. For viruses you may need to add some antibiotics too!

I've dropped proper SD cards into puddles(I really hate SD cards!) .. CF are so much more fumble fingers friendly!!

Being a phone, if a modern type, then most likely it's a micro SD card, so they have no seams(like SD cards can, and do) .. so you'll be fine.
You can get some older phones that use mini SD, but we're talking quite old and pretty limited in what they can do.
Never seen a phone with an SD card(they may exist, just never seen one).
I'm thinking you have an mSD card.

Note the different types of cards that are called SD.
Proper SD(ie. just SD) are about the size of a stamp. There's usually a seam between the top case and bottom case. You could get water in between that could sit for a while .. makes possible to short them out.
(but mine worked fine after it's little swim in a puddle)

mSD(micro SD) are the norm for modern mobiles and tablets. They're basically a single piece of plastic moulded around the electronics within. Quite weatherproof by the looks of it. Never got one wet yet, so dunno really.
These are the fingernail sized cards.

I've read reports that this doesn't work that well.

according to the results, uncooked white rice placed dead last in effectiveness as a drying agent. Here's the list, from best to worst.

I'd suggest he's referring to his camera 🎥 card perhaps (??).

    The Dash Cam card, actually.
I took it out to copy a section of video on to the computer. Yes, I hit another roo. Placed it in a safe place, my shirt pocket. Went from the car to the house. Changed from my work clothes. Popped the shirt into the wash, settled down at the computer then realised, no SD card, just as the spin cycle stopped.

AH! dashcam SD card then .. ie. full sized SD card.

If you look carefully along the sides(edges) you will see the seams. Also note that the write lock appears to have access to an internal stem as it slides along the length of the card's edge.
Technically, they wouldn't be sealed, but the SD card I dropped into the puddle, the SD card was fully submerged, I'd say for about 5-10sec while I then fished it out.
Dried it off with some paper napkins I had in the car.
Put card into my (Windows) tablet, worked fine .. all images were fine, card capacity came up all ok. It was full, so I wanted to pop it into the tablet to transfer the images to the tablet to reuse the card in the camera again.
Stupid things are slippery and I fumble around a lot.
My SD card was a cheapo A-Data 2Gb model.

As for going through the wash .. can't tell, as it'd have been underwater and agitated for a long time .. a few times!
Personally I wouldn't trust the write lock slider to be fully sealed, and if it were mine, and I valued the data on it, I'd place it on something warm(not hot!) for a few days just to be sure. PC power supplies are nice and warm and stuff like that.

If you have a look at what's inside an SD card, some have exposed electrical connections, others have a design that is a fully sealed unit located only in the upper(pin) half of the casing.
If yours is a type that uses the sealed module within the SD case, then you should be fine just to use it straight up.
