Hi,
I made the move and bought a tablet to use as an on-board music player, gps, .......
I would like to be able to mirror the smart phone on the tablet, not just to view the content of the smart phone but to be able to access the phone book and also dial from the tablet screen.
Is there an app, or way to do this?
Thank you
First thing, they'd need to be the same architecture, i.e. Apple, Android or Windows.

Might have to turn on the Wi-Fi hot-spot on your phone by exploring in settings and then go to the Wi-Fi on the tablet and connect to the phone Wi-Fi signal. Check if it will gobble up your data.
Or, is it possible to use a cable to connect the phone and tablet?

I imagine if this is possible the connection between the two devices will be established via Bluetooth or NFC. I have yet to come across a mirroring type app between units....although I haven't gone out of my way to research this function specifically.
I plan to replace my Defender stereo and speakers with a tablet (one of the IP68 Samsungs) and a couple of JBL waterproof bluetooth speakers.
I'm leaving phone calls to the dedicated phone, multiple bluetooth inputs can be made to the speakers, and the tablet handles the rest (mapping & nav, vehicle system monitors, music, movies for the kids etc).
Updates and data connectivity on the road will be handled by turning one of our smart phone into a wifi hot spot.
Haven't tried but found this on a quick google search
Guide to Mirror Your Android to Android
Both are Samsung models, I linked them via Bluetooth but lacked the app that should do the mirroring. Linking them via WiFi hot-spot didn't give the possibility of mirroring the phone to the tablet.
trout1105, can you please ask your Grandkids?
Hi,
the closest I could find that answers my need is the free app "TabTalk", it will give an alert on the tablet with a pop up message (accept/decline) once a phone call is received, by accepting the call from the tablet it will open the link between the phone and the Bluetooth headset device.
Tablet Talk: SMS & Texting App - Android Apps on Google Play
It is possible to dial from the tablet but I still have to test this feature.
