    Its the Extended Support Release, seems like its basically the network verion, rather than the personal version.

    It looks the same generally as the regular Firefox, but for me at least this one so far is working really really well without the hangs that have increasingly developed, with the latest regular Firefox version which is totally unusable for me due to hangs and crashes.

    Also worth disabling automatic updates, stops it hanging when you don't want it to. Let it check for updates and notify you.

    never had an issue with the ESR release...

    I suspect your internet connection is better than mine. I just want the updates to happen outside peak times so it's quick and painless.

    Just started using Firefox 57 to give it a go after abandoning it after 53. So far so good - it actually works!

    The linux FF update is not noticeable performance wise, but the visual side is crap... All the symbols are very boxy and the menu has a lot to be desired, also the look and back ground colours are very childish...

    I miss the last layout of FF....I spose some kid thought it was good to change and so I'll either get use to it or start modifying the stupid thing...

    Guys..... being a novice with web search engines, etc..... what's the go with Google Chrome? Is that one to stay away from or is it ok to use?
