    Odd Win10 Upgrade Issue

    I upgraded Win 10 from build 1709 (?) build 1803 today.

    Tonight I was looking for some files I saved this week. Not to be found. The sub-directory /Thorens TD125
    which should have been in C:/Users/RLB/Downloads/was missing.

    The directory C:/Users/RLB/Downloads was there but was empty.

    So I used the search function and found that the directory had been moved, along with every other file in the Downloads directory, to C:/Windows.old/Users/RLB/Downloads/Thorens TD125.

    I've never had that issue before.

    It might be one to look out for.

    I had the update start while my 11yo was doing homework, working fine one minute then no wifi the next.
    Wifi card had disappeared from device manager, left it connected to lan last night and after about 2hrs the update finished and we had wifi working again.

    another thing 1803 does is expose the usually "hidden" drives windows creates..

    Also kills Ethernet for those using a Surface Pro and the MS charger /adaptor docking thingy.

    Solution, uninstall and reinstall the Surface System Aggregator.

    Aha! I found it killed my ethernet on my desktop. On Thursday evening I thought the Optus internet had gone down (it was still down on Friday morning) until my wife said it was OK on her iPad via WiFi.

    I couldn't get it to work until I did a Settings->Network & Internet->Network Reset
