    Hi Chris.
Live attached two screen shots of technically the same page, but it looks a touch different. You’ll see on mine it’s got tabs at the bottom of the page, one being an arrow, this leads to the “Start Logging “ button.
This is on my phone, I believe my iPad works in the same fashion, I’ll have to check though.

Yep mate, its that Start-Stop Logging button that plots (or not plots) the track line.

What is happening, is that mm is seeing it as one track.
Are there options to modify the data collection/recording such as minimum speed/distance, or time not moving?
I have set my time not moving on my data logging gps to 30 minutes before it creates a new track.
Do you have the option of post trip data manipulation in the software? You can split or join tracks using that.
    Cheers
That could be a handy feature, but I dont think MM has that function at all, and I'm not even sure if I can manipulate anything after the fact,,, I'll have to do some more research on it.

I don't believe so Mick, although I suspect I can probably "Delete" a route/log if needs be after the fact, but again, I'll have to check that out.
Like our LR's, there are forums for Memory Map, so I might just have to get involved.

I have not actually had to turn that on or off. It was on from the first time I opened it up. This is the first time I've actually turned it off.

If it is now off you won't leave the blue track lines any more.

Yep,, totally understand that,, just confused as to why it was interrupted/stopped, then started again leaving the straight line. I will turn it back on when I next need to run it,, in about two weeks from now

There is a check box in the settings to keep the gps running in the background. Tick this box so that you can start a trip log, then minimise the app and use your phone for other stuff, with the trip being logged in the background. You shouldn't get the straight line skips then.

Look in the Apps section of Settings, and see if MM is set to run in the background.
All it's doing is saying "Last time I looked you were there, now you're here, so I draw a line from there to here." When it's tracking your movement, it's doing exactly that, but doing it every few seconds, so it follows the road you're on.
I was driving a sat-tracked truck coming from Perth back east. The tracker had a glitch, and marked me as stationary at Southern Cross. When I restarted the truck in Ceduna after breakfast a day or two later, the tracker statted working again. It emailed the boss that I had exceeded the speed limit. Apparently, on the time I had breakfast, it figured I had crossed WA and half of SA, therefore I must have been doing around 2450 kph (slightly over the allowed limit of 102 kph). Needless to say, I didn't get a non-compliance notice for that one!
