Newly formatted HDD do show in WIN10 Disk Management

I've just reformatted two HDDs in Windows 10 using the Disk Management format option.

Now neither of them show up in the list of drives do I can't create new partitions, etc.

Oddly enough, they show up in the Samsung Disk Magician software.

Any suggestions on how to get Windows to recognise the drives?

    Fixed.

I loaded HIRENS BootCD_PE X64 Windows 10 V1.0.2 and it could see the drives. So I did a quick format with it and all came good in File Explorer and Diesk Management.

    Odd.

Now to install them in a "new" PC to install a dual boot Win 10/Ubuntu 22 system.
