    Charging an older Bluetooth speaker

This HK speaker works very well...
but is charged via that old style barrel plug.
    The 240v charger supplies 1A at 19V..

any clever ideas on how to adapt it to use a normal usb wall socket/cable??

USB-C can do 20V. I have a beaut USB-C cable that does 12V to a 2.1mm barrel connector. You'll probably find an adapter on E-bay. If not, a $2 USB-C 20V trigger board and barrel adapter soldered to it will do the job.
