    Computer wreckers Brisbane??

    Are there any computer wreckers style places in Brissy. Looking for a cheap POS laptop for a linux project. All it needs is a bit of RAM and a CD drive. Oh and a power source.

    I went to an auction a while ago at a place near Archerfield airport - I think is was Grays - a huge shed full of not so old computers - and other stuff.

    Auctions every week or so, apparently...

    PCs were going out the door from $5. Hundreds and hundreds of them.

    I picked up a 3 yo grunty Mac for $300, in perfect condition - new, it was around $5,000.......

    Yeah, that's the mob. Get a list of whats being auctioned (which I think you can get online from them) so you pick the right computer auction day etc... and be prepared to spend some time there - so much stuff goes out the door.....
