Vista Media centre and SD TV

Anyone have any experience with getting Vista to run with a GeForce 6150 to a SD CRT WS TV?

Worked fine under MCE. I'm lost.

    Cheers,

Hey mate... I'm a bit of a MC fan and have got VMS working pretty well...

What's your problem with the GeForce? Jumpy picture? It should have enought guts for SD.

    Hi,

Been running MCE for 2 years now but a few months ago I thought (Fool) I'd upgrade my Dvico dual to a DNTV Dual hybrid S2 and Vista.

Problem is, I simply cannot get vista to display properly (size, resolution) in both the desktop and live/recorded TV. In fact most times it fails to recognise that there's TV at all so all I see is hash. I use PureVideo for a decoder and I have my doubts about whether its Vista bullet proof.

Also, the DNTV card would not pick up any channels.

I've tired (had to) using RealVNC to remotely change the settings from my other PC but that's had limited success.

What I've found since this first post is that even in MCE if I use the latest drivers from Nvidia I have a similar problem. So I've gone back to MCE with 12 month old drivers and it works.

So basically I suspect that there's issue with the Nvidia VGA driver, PureVideo and S-Video out.

    Cheers,

    Mark

I'm not sure of the exact OS details, but a mate is running MC. He loves it, but while he was demoing it to me it crashed twice. LOL. You PC guys really are tough cookies.

I built the HTPC for a hobby last year to give my brain something to do. Its driven me mad so this year I bought a D3, which I'm hoping I'll have better luck with!

The Mrs thinks I'm mad on both counts
