    Outlook 2000 and shared calendars

Ok, here at work we have about 12 computers, of which most have at least one shared calendar. Most of the time they work just fine, and are reasonably importaint and heavily used.

However they often seem to fall on their head and stop communicating with one another. It's one hell of a headache and a lot of work to get them going again, and we seem to have spates of them not working.

Any ideas on how to fix this (which I doubt because microsoft couldn't get it to work and killed it off in the next release of office) or options of other software, free or otherwise to replace this shared calendar system?

You could use something like google calendars and synchronise them with outlook...
