Info retrieval from a CF Card.
Today I took some images of one of my Grand Daughters who we had not seen for 8years.
To cut a long story short, I somehow ballsed up the file & subsequently deleted the card of all visible info. To all intents & purposes it's empty, kaput, finito, gone.
Does any data remain on the card that can be retrieved or has it gone to the big dark room in the sky?
Thanks.

Probably. Unless it's overwitten or damanged.
If you seach for Photo Recovery in Google you'll find a heap of hits.
I seem to remember some CF cards being supplied with software for this purpose.
A lot of them will have trial softare to see if they work. Then you have to pay for the full version to actually recover the files. It's usually a simple process.
Someone may know of a free package.
Update:
Search for Photo Recovery Free in Google. Seems to be a bunch of free stuff. I haven't tried them though.

Was fixing the problem when you posted, but thank you.
Used a freebie Recovery Prog.
PC Inspector Smart Recovery 4.43
Convar - Free Software Downloads and Software Reviews - Download.com
& it worked a treat. The card wasn't damaged so it seems the data was still there.
