My boss has the Next-G Wireless Broadband ( Telstra Pays for it )

He often when on the Train sends/recieves emails , surfs internet etc.

as for the plans I think they are expensive.

my mother in law is traveling around the country at the mo. We set her up with it just before she left and she now talks to us from all over the place through msn or video calls, although its very wishy washy at times which can be very frustrating.
But all in all, good, but very expensive l think

    cheers

Big Pond is to expensive and prone to problems, there's plenty of other ISP's out there that will give you a better deal.

I would guess someone missed the "Next G" bit of the post.

Voda don't yet have the same speed or coverage, and 3 are hopeless outside metro areas.

I personally find Telstra good from a reception point of view (But rarely go outside of metro areas when using it) but can't comment on the expense as my company pays and have a corporate deal, so I don't even know the costs. I did read on Whirlpool that prices had tumbled this year though.

    Next-G not to bad

The latest car is fast, very fast compared to what is available in Australia, though we are light years be the rest of the modern world, take Japans 80mb/s mobile broadband to be released in 2009. Any way, next-g is not bad, my 3G via blue tooth works s treat, see my post 'Stuck in Lithgow', though not as good. Got to remember that Telstra are sharks and the ride on there name and size to intimate and with half price deals where half price is more than resellers full rates.

I tried it at work I was pleasantly surprised at the speed, reception was fine, (metro area). Price, dunno it was paid for by work.

I am on Telstra Next G Wirless and we are traveling arround the country at the moment
reception is great in lots of out of the way places.

If you get mobile coverage you get Next G wireless

I purchased an antenna for the lower signal areas and it works a treat

Yes its cost is high 1 gig 80 bucks p/mt but to keep intouch its a small price to pay
