Has anyone tried this:

Dual boot, XP and linux.
One set of email files which can be accessed from either using thunderbird.

You simply need to copy your Thunderbird profile to a shared drive (well, one that is accessible by both operating systems) and update your Thunderbirds' config with the new profile path.
