Funny how different people have different ideas about what constitutes an "old laptop".

My mental picture of an old laptop is a machine quite incapable of running XP let alone Vista.

as a "hobby" I have to maintain my sister-in-law's HP laptop that runs windows 3.10. Now that's old!

But then again, I've still got my Commodore Amiga in a box here somewhere.

3.1 - That is old, even by my standards. I haven't had 3.1 on my machine for at least 4 or 5 years.

And I must confess I no longer have my VZ200. Remember them? I believe they had 4k of memory and some of that was used by the operating system. Quite amazing that they could do so much with so little. Even the Amiga must have had more than that.

It just occurred to me that operating a laptop with 3.1 must have something in common with driving a Series I. Some people probably couldn't understand why you would bother.
