The reason I'm experimenting is the dreaded Activesync, which mysteriously stopped working ages ago. The error code refers to server login credentials, So I'm hopful that if I crack the mail2web access, I'll crack the Activesync problem.

Server is Exchange 2003, the desktop is XP SP3, and the mobile is WM6.

I suspect Mail2Web is parsing your email address:

you@domain.com

into a username 'you'

in the Advanced screen you need to do that manually. I'm pretty sure Exchange usernames (actually ActiveDirectory) are just the username, no @domain name.

You can always set up Outlook Express or Thunderbird as a POP3 or IMAP4 client, which is all m2w is anyway.

I've been using mail2web for years and found that it can't access some corporate MS exchange mailboxes.
