Are you wanting to run them off your hard drive or run them off the CD's?

Either way then I would think both would be OK with Vista.

if you have an issue just download the free version of virtual pc from the microsoft site, install it and then install windows 98 or xp into a virtual machine.. easy peasy and works a treat

by far the most stable version of windows i have used IF you use supported hardware.

most problems are caused by people having too little ram or using too many system utilities or anti virus / anti trojan type programs, most do more harm than good..

another prime de stabiliser is system info utils like belarc and the like...

i just love magazine discs, every month my shop gets an intake of work when they hit the shelves, god bless em....

    Fair enough.

Having operated XP and server 2003, I just don't enjoy vista at all.

The response was also partly tongue-in-cheek - given the quote at the bottom of your signature!

thanks for that, will try it, don't want to fill my laptop with too much crap, would prefer to run epc and rave straight from the discs, and i have issues with them, had troubles with both on windows xp professional.
