Thread: Windows browser problems...help plse!!!!

Is it just the computer locks up
Is it when you are using the web browsing (IE, Firefox... which one)
Do you have anti virus software running and which one
Have you resently installed new hardware, software, software updates
What operating system

My money is on IE, as it hangs consistently for me.

Firefox is great, although it takes a few minutes to get used to.

I had hoped you would see this thread otherwise I was going to PM you

windows xp

when I am on a web page it says "not responding" have to shut page down and then askes if I want to send an error report

Bullguard 6.1 antivirus

I havn't installed anything but the puter automaticly installs stuff from windows

where do I find operating system?

Have you run a scan of the computer using Bullguard?

sure did the other day.....no virus found

What about running a malware scan?

Can't remember what I used last time.

OK so it only occurs with the web browser??

When you "shut down" the page is this clicking the "stop" button or closing the web browser?

Is the web browser IE (Internet Explorer and which version 6, 7 or 8 - got to Help>About)?

it gets the hourglass thingy so I can't do anything but close the web page
