    Firefox History

I had my firefox set up to delete visited sites after two days - all worked fine. I did the lastest update which has changed a lot - I have set up the system not to keep my history but it still does - any suggestions.

    Thanks

Don't know about the history bit but I think you've got a stutter and posted the same thing twice

I won't go into my abysmal attempt at posting things last night in the wrong thread.

I guess that is a no

Posted the same question on the Modzilla site - seems many people have the same issue and the new version sucks - many people want to go back to the old version. I cannot even find my thread on the Modzilla site it is so complex to use.

Anyone know how to go back to the earlier version?

Hmmm, glad to see i'm not the only one thinking the new version is difficult to use. The old system of managing history was much easier.
Apart from that i'm sorry but cannot answer your question

Going back might be hard. I'd think you would have to uninstall and the find a copy of the earlier version to install unless you have that somewhere.

Firefox brings back all the bad memories of Netscape for me - except the memory leaks - so I don't like it. Also since moving to the Mac I find Safari very good and also use that on my Windows laptop.

If others are having trouble and this is a very new version, it may be awaiting a service patch from Mozilla.

What version are you running? I run 3.01 and have the "clear private data" option ticked in the tools/options window, under that option is a another menu that allows you to configure what and when.

But it doesn't work - that is the problem with 3.01
