SupporterHi all - is there a particular trick to schedule Win Backup to do backups automatically.
I can get it to do one off backups but every attempt to schedule it to do it automatically has failed - just doesn't happen - the schedule is in the system - daily at 2 in the morning - backup C:drive to D: drive - I seem to have all the boxes ticked - is scheduled - but not happening.

I'm not sure what version you are running. At my work we had a number of windows boxes. We had them setup with scheduled tasks, and just once or twice every few months the scheduled tasks wouldn't run for no apparent reason. We put it down as another windows thing.
However if it's not running at all i would investigate whether the job has appropriate permissions as the user it is running under. Do you have to enter the admin password? Did you do it with an at job or in windows scheduler?

No Admin password but it sometimes does ask for one when doing the backup setup. When it asks for one the setup will not proceed further as it does not have a password but when it doesn't ask for a password it goes through to the end of the setup menu.
"Did you do it with an at job or in windows scheduler?" Nor sure what this means - I have just been following the prompts in the backup menu.

SupporterThanks guys - installed Relicator - nice an easy to use - however does it run in the background unseen or do you have to have it open and minimised for it to work? The reason I ask is because when I closed it, it said scheduled backups will not run unless the program is minimised.

yep leaving it running in the background. has a small footprint so doesnt use much in the way of system resource..
