    help a video virgin

    Have samsung d/vid cam

    used power producer to make video = good picture; but the sound recording is pooo

    mucked around with microphone inputs etc - no good - still poo

    any ideas or anybody in syd willing to look at the setup and lend a hand?

    + tried to use moviemaker and can't get the pc to see the connection

    current connection: Kworld DVD maker - usb sofware installed

    I'm not familiar with the software you're using, but perhapse the audio settings on the software are wrong. For example, I use Adobe Premiere to do my video work and if I import a video with 48khz audio into a project with settings for a 32khz video then the sounds will be stuffed up.

    Consult your manual for the camera and the software. Your camera is probably 48khz audio if it was made in the last couple years.

    Does it sound ok when played back on the camera?

    Are you using the kworld, why not try plugging the camera directly into the computer?
