Perhaps I am missing the plot (pun intended) here, but Adobe Acrobat prints up to A0 size.

Have you tried Bullzip ??
Paper port is just like printing your page ... just saves it as a file instead of actually printing the page ... all the other PDF printers appear to try to save it as a "Active PDF document" ... rather than as a printed page in a PDF format ... you can also save it as a JPG / TIFF / ect
In the printer & settings ... select "PaperPort Black & white" as your default printer ... usual right mouse click / settings
Your also a CAD operator? ... will give it a go
I don't use Acrobat ... just CAD
Don't like pdf995 either ... as I don't get the required results ... I find that it is actually trying to create a "active PDF file" ... I just want it to print as a PDF ... which is what P/Port does
will give it a go
I not using Acrobat ... Just CAD
Custom page size can be touchy to set up ... I had it running sweet for a while , then upgraded to the new version of P/Port ... Lost the Custom sizing // reverted back to previous version , and now have dramas with custom page sizing
Also .... it doesn't like large size paper in colour (program crashes)
No ... will give it a go
Thanking all for your thoughts
Mike

A more roundabout way of doing things might be to print to any old postscript driver that supports the paper size you want ("generic" perhaps) to produce a postscript file then use ps2pdf to convert.

I can vouch for CutePDF on XP, Vista and Windows 7 as being stable and fast.
I also have Acrobat 8 Pro installed with the Acrobat PDF print driver but find CutePDF to be quicker and simpler.
Haven't tried an A0 plot yet, but I regularly print A3 CAD and Visio drawings with no issues.
