I D/loaded the iso to try out on a virtual machine, as I would like to rry Mac before buying one to see if its my os, but having AMD it stops at the splash. Bloody INTEL!

I'm torn. I'm tempted to get the special pack with new everything for $229.

But then I'm also tempted to wait until early next year when they have new versions of iLife and iWork. Decisions decisions.

I'm sure the new one will be seriously fantastic. However Leopard is excellent almost beyond criticism and rock solid.

Sounds good but i might wait until next year as well.

Now, c'mon guys - don't get too carried away - you know those Mac viruses are just around the corner - and I'm sure someone, somewhere - will have a problem with Snow Leopard. Add to this the fact that you will all be struggling to find any decent software to run - gee I don't know, think I'll refire my PC and take the next 3 weeks off work to fix my blank screen, run anti malware and spyware, download virus definitions and install Vista service pack 7,942.2

Windows 7 has an awful lot to catch up on...maybe they should delay it for a few more years... hehe

I'm converted, SWMBO bought a macbook on the weekend, after mucking around with PCs of all descriptions since about 1986 it's just so easy to use and just works............
The last Apple I played with was a IIGS, theyve coe a way since then
