No audio on external Macbook display

    Hi All,

Have a 13" 160 Gig Macbook and a new LG 32" LCD tv. Took 10 secs to get the tv to display the Mac as a mirror display using the right cable to the HDMI input, but the audio only comes out of the Mac.

Is there something in preferences I'm missing or do I need separate audio cabling?

    TIA, DL

    Hi,

The TV displays the desktop perfectly (tax deduction for me) and the audio has to come from the headphone jack.

    Sorted.

Nice to play Utoob stuff on the big screen and have the audio on the stereo or TV.

    Just for fun:

That makes sense as the MacBook doesn't have HDMI out only separate DVI and audio.
